M-Audio Microtrack 2496 ($275) Zoom H4 ($300) Sony MZ-RH1 Hi-MD recorder ($300) Edirol R-09 ($350) Marantz PMD660 ($450) with excellent preamp upgrade by Doug Oade $680 Fostex FR-2LE ($600) Discontinued models that continue to be popular ------------------------------- original Sharp and Sony minidisc (~$75) Creative Nomad Jukebox 3 (aka JB3) (~$100) iRiver H120/140/320/340 ($150-$200) works best with free Rockbox software older Sony Hi-MD recorders ($150-$250) |
