I'm sure Klas will chime in. Either either the PMD 660 or the 702,
you'll probably want the phantom powered Telinga, which I 'think' the
Pro-6? That will provide the minimum of external 'boxes' to deal with.
I don't think it will be easy to swap out the mic for another. The
whole system is somewhat custom built. That being said, I don't think
you'll find you NEED to swamp out the mic either. Klas has done a
very good job in my opinion with the elements he puts in there.
I have the Stereo Telinga, and love it. It's plenty quiet, and sounds
great.
