Our discussions will be much more useful for people 50 years from now
if folks can listen to the the exact same recordings. Where else
would one go to find better information and discussion in this field
in 2007?

Its simple to move the files from Anton's site and work with good
friends like those in Australia at
http://bioacoustics.cse.unsw.edu.au to edit the links in the archived
list posts and maintain the resource with media links for many, many
years.

When we fill-up Anton's space, we can arrange for a very large
permanent host location.

The alternative practice of putting files on your personal server,
linking to them, generating discussion and taking them off-- this
creates tragic losses down the road.

I encourage everyone who does not intend to maintain a well-organized
site/folder for all your natrec related files for many years to
upload your files to Anton's site. If you are the kind of person who
likes to do things on your own-- same thing-- upload your
list-related files to Anton's server and you'll be saving people work
and promoting pleasures. In the long-run it will become possible to
search our master depository to find sounds faster than searching the
text.
