I haven't tried the raincoat yet. But the mic is slihtly better 'into' the wind than a Rycote, and less effective from winds coming from the side I would say. But this is comparing it using the Rycote and Windjammer, and theoretically, the Windpac should color the sound slightly less. All in all, I'd say they're close enough that it shouldn't be a major deciding factor.
