I just listened back to the files and it is actually much more like a "purruk" noise than a ping. The main thing I remembered was that it sounded more electronic than organic. I have created a 50 second mp3 containing excerpts from the recording that have the bird audible. It's not very loud against the sound of the prayer flags flapping in the wind (which was the sound I was trying to record at the time), but it ought to be easy enough to identify. I don't have a website or ftp site or anything like that at present. Any suggestions on how I can make it available to others? |
