Oh yes, Chris, been on Haleakala a lot, mostly in Waikamoi Preserve,
and have recorded all the Maui endemics, see the Maui page of my

You can record `I`iwi on Maui any time of year, though it may be
harder to find in summer. You don't need to get into Waikamoi, just
hang out in Hosmer Grove on the nature trail.
