Hi Greg,
I've been to Beijing 2 years ago, and I can tell you it's really noisy. Not
only lots of people
but also all kinds of cheap speakers with some kind of advertising message in
the streets.
So if you want to record 'the sound of Beijing that will be fairly easy..
I did'nt have a mobile rig at that time, so I just took one mono-electret (a
Shure mic, about
twice as big as a KM184, same shape) that I could plug into my MD-recorder. No
problems
with that at the airport. But I didn't really take it out to the street or
stuff (I now regeret
that.. ;-)
greetings, try the noodles! In Beijing they have food-styles from all over the
country
(there's quite some variation)
