I hadn't thought about the GVC swivels. The other option would be to
use the mini CCM mics instead of the CMC. They're a bit more money,
but respond about the same as the CMC Schoeps. You could easily mount
to mono ball-gag Rycotes with CCM mics to a stereo bar, and it should
be hand-hold-able.
