Klas,

I am still on the edge of my seat wondering if you think my two
sound samples show that IYO my recorder is fixed re-phantom power
issues ! I bet the guy selling his FR2 is too so maybe someone will
actually buy it from him now !

SCV agreed that the Phantom Power was faulty and according to the
job sheet replaced the Power Supply PCB. The excessive noise ( that
I had ) is now gone but I would be interested to know if yours
sounds like mine does now as I have nothing to refer to - only the
horrible noise before.

BTW I noticed my problem as it was intermittent -
sometimes it was fine and this is what alerted me.

I await with baited breath !
