Off topic, but, FWIW to tropical travelers, pantyhose can be used to lessen= blood contributions to leeches and ease removing them. Getting leeches out of you= r eyes requires caution and patience. A picture by Mark Moffett of NGS shows senior staff o= f UC Berkeley's Museum of Vertebrate Zoology donning 'armor' before field work in a Vietna= mese National Park: http://www.mindenpictures.com/bin/mp.dll/go?a=3Ddisp&pt=3D1&t=3Dus\sr-loade= r- start.html&si=3D&searchtext=3D00116073 Similar, denser mesh insect tights are warmer, but work for ticks and chigg= ers.
