As far as I know not.
HHb did tell me when HiMD first came out that they were very interested
in building a updated Portadisc. But it's been so long since then I
guess they changed their mind.
As far as my Portadisc, I had Sennheiser go over it about a year ago and
also put in the latest ROM and do the mod that improves the pre
slightly. They are the US service for HHb. That found nothing wrong with
it and it was right up to spec before they started on it. Runs just fine
and it's not a limitation for me, so why change. The SD recorders still
go for way too much on Ebay. My only complaint about the Portadisc is
the battery sleds which crack with time. I got a bunch of them from
Sennheiser to keep me going on that. If I got stuck I could machine a
permanent fix for that anyway.
