Rinus, I think the gadget you found would appeal to kids and to people who want to snoop on their neighbors. The box has the name "Orbitor" on it. Google provides more information if you search for "orbitor listening." Lowest price from a dealer seems to be $40 from a dealer, $35 from eBay.
