Note your choices are not just alkaline or these batteries. I've been
using NIMH 9.6V for many years, they are available at a more reasonable
price from a number of brands. No one should still be using alkaline
except in things that are stored for long periods between uses.

It will be interesting to see how well the Li-Ion work out. The NIMH are
good for years of use but not as high a capacity.
