Dear Steve: I like the program, the pix and the sounds. Brilliant way of se=
tting it up so it runs faultlessly.

Now I want to customize it, and need the source code. What programming to=
ols will I need? I run Window XP pro. I would like to use MS Visual Basic E=
xpress, with the idea that techies at my wifes college are familiar with th=
is.

I enclose a copy of our goal in providing informances about bird sounds. =
This paper was presented last summer to educators at an international confe=
rence on Imagination in Education at Simon Fraser University.

I would like your comments on it at some point.

  Sincerely
  Robin Aurelius

I believe there's been recent work on the use of infrasound (very low
frequency sound) by elephants (African, at least). Is part of the goal
to detect such signals?

If so, you'll probably need special equipment and would get the best
advice on it from those doing the infrasound research. If people on this
group can't help, you might try a bioacoustics mailing list.

Good luck!
