When I'm stuck for the winter in Washington State I go hunting for
waterfowl, grouse and owls. Vocalizations of many other animals are
practically zilch but there are some gems too.

I also try to use the hydrophones in all situations including tree and plan=
t
sounds, ice and snow movement and windstorms.

You would be surprised what clients ask me for!

I gotta admit, I love the more temperate zones and when I can, I disappear
south with the migrants!

I'm at my happiest when I'm working in the field; I'm not a stay at home or
studio type of guy.

I can't wait for the next year; I have some cool places on the agenda
including Chile and Australia...

On the subject of Australia, have a little thought for all those poor
animals in Victoria at the moment. My heart aches for the devastation cause=
d
by the fires. They caught 4 people responsible for stating 3 of them; I kno=
w
what punishment I would dish out!!!
