Edirol R-09

Subject: Edirol R-09
Edirol released firmware 1.10 for the Edirol R-09. Find it here:
http://www.roland.com/products/en/_support/dld.cfm?ln=en&dsp=0&iCncd=1072

The update adds support for the new SDHC (Secure Digital High
Capacity) cards and fixes a few minor bugs. SDHC cards are available
in 2GB and 4GB capacities today from several companies. Pretac and
Transcend have just started to ship 8GB SDHC cards.

In comparison, standard SD card design has an upper limit of 2GB. A
couple of companies (Transcend, AData) have released 4GB SD cards, but
these are not of standard design, and don't always work correctly in
recorder or PC card reader.

Note that you can't use an SDHC card in a recorder designed for SD
cards until the firmware of the recorder is updated, as Edirol is
doing with this release.
