While talking to SD about the date/time reset issue, I finally figure
out that the external battery charged the clock battery ONLY when the
unit is power up (see P52 in 744t manual or find the section about time
clock battery in 722 manual). I thought that external battery would
charge clock battery even when the unit is not power on. So conclusion
is, if you are using the recorder often, you are in a good shape and
clock battery will be charged when you are using the recorder. If you
won't use the recorder for a while, maybe it is a good idea to charge
the clock battery using wall plug AC power via the 4-pin Hirose. That's
probably why Martyn had the time reset problem since you were not
charging the clock battery fully enough by wall plug or by leaving the
recorder powered on for some time after you newly got your 722 back?<<<<<<<

I had a faulty re-chargeable AA battery, everything is fine with mine :-)
