There are adapters available, but I can make them a lot cheaper than
buying as it's just a small scrap of metal for each. And very little
time, though my time comes very cheap. I can make exactly what is needed
then as well, not have to use more than one adapter. I mostly use spigot
to 3/8" and some spigot to 5/8-27.

The hardest machine tool to come by is the taps and dies for the oddball
5/8-27 and 7/8-27 threads used by mics. I wonder where those came from,
my lathe does not even have that pitch in it's extensive choice of
metric and english threads. It took me considerable time finding those
as they are a custom size. I finally found someone who was making up a
bulk order to have some manufactured. If you meet minimum quantity you
can have most any tool made.
