Leaving your audio recorder running would not be advised but some kind of
buffer would help. Depending of course what type of recording setup you
have.

known rivers, swamps, by canoe, kayak, 9am-7pm and have your audio recordin=

equipment recording all the while. keep your video camera at ready. don't
move when you see the bird. back off quietly and snap a photo, video if you
can.
or
get in camo, climb a treestand in a likely spot and wait with audio
recording going and your vid camera on your lap. -RWA. -ready, willing and
