Hi Dan You reminded us of our trip to Maui three years ago. We didn't try walking down into the crater though. Standing on the crater's edge at dusk, we did watch Hawaiian Petrels emerging from the upper surface of the cloud and head for their nesting burrows. They may have been the wingbeats you heard in the night. John Neville |
