Yes, I have recorded not only with the OKMII's but also with an NT4, I comp=
ared it to
recording directly into an MBox/ ProTools which gave me a much lower noisef=
loor than the
MD recordings. So my conclusion was that the the noise must be happening in=
the
preamp.
When I want to record some nice crows in the park which are actually pretty=
noisy (and
there's a city around the park.. ) I just get that little bit too much nois=
e that makes the
recording useless for film post.
I've listened to your MD-HiMD comparison (and also know your site, very hel=
pfull, thanks a
lot for that!!), that difference sounds quite significant to me! Seems just=
like the difference
that I need.
