Lucky dog! I asked Melissa Chimera of the Nature Conservancy for
permission to record in the Waikamoi Preserve, actually I volunteered
to record anything they might want, but the answer was that an escort
was required and they couldn't spare anyone.
I asked Haleakala National Park if they needed any recordings, and
got a volunteer assignment there from Liz Gordon. Sharon and I are
arriving August 6th. I'm doing the grand tour of Haleakala the 7th,
8th, and 9th. I'm going to do soundscape recording at the Paliku and
Holua cabins in the crater.
I hope we can connect.
