Hello All ! I have a question... With these recorders which are given to very high sampling rate (for example the preamp of SD722 are supposed to go up to 40 kHz), we should be able to record some ultrasonic emission of (for example) bats and insects... I am especially thinking to my small and very inexpensive (50 Euros..) heterodyne bat detector which has a cheap microphone (but I am not sure what it is exactly). This should allow to record (at least part of) ultrasonic emissions in order to slow down them towards our ear range. Does anyone have experience into using this kind of small ultrasound capsule into the SD722 ? Friendly, Yannick www.kalerne.net |
