I owe a trip report, but am slow as I still am not home.

This years campout we had 5 recordists for our down scale true camp event.

The Kickapoo Reserve came out with a welcome mat and gave us exclusive
access to star valley with us being the only having vehicle access.

Rob ran a full three state of the art surround arrays with two having
24 hour record capability at 24/48. I guess nobody was about to trump
that. Not many can have two 744's and 12 low noise mics ready to fly.
His results were wonderful.

I ran my 4 channel surround array and the large parabolic for species
pickup.

We had a music guy that was still in love with analog who just
upgraded to an aluminum parabolic. I think I am still in trouble for
showing him his focal point was off when I pointed the dish at the sun
and melted his wind screen in no time flat.

We also had two recordists doing great work with minimal equipment.
Since the first time we ran across them they know know more than 150
species by ear that they could not before. They also have located a
new population of an endangered species and are energized for working
more rare species.

A good time was had by all. A true recording event without any other
pretext.
