Hi!
I use that parabola all the time with 48V phantom feed,
with a Fostex FR-2 and a Marantz 670.
On those machines I only have to put a switch to phantom.
The good news with this is that I don=B4t have to worry about
wearing out the 9V battery. I had a parabola with 9V feed earlier.
I would believe that if you forget to switch on the 48V phantom feed, you w=
on=B4t get a signal - and that=B4s all. But I am not a technician...
Probably you will get an answer from Klas/Telinga about modifying the parab=
ola.

=C4mne: [Nature Recordists] telinga / phantom
hello all,
I have a Telinga V StereoDat microphone and use it on a recorder that
can provide phantom power.
I am very afraid of forgetting the 48v while using the Telinga : is
there any risk about it ?
Also, I would like to know if it is possible to modify the Telinga to be
able to use the phantom power instead of the 9v inner battery ?
Anybody has done a such modification ?
Friendly,
Yannick
