Certainly a marvellous sequence, but sadly not entirely natural; while the
shot with Sir Attenborough whispering in the background really looks like
there's a wild bird, the close-up head shots when the bird is mimicking the
chainsaw is most likely a semi-captive bird, and not necessarily the same
individual. This TV sequence was discussed extensively on the Australian
birding mail list a while back from the programme was first broadcast.
According to local Lyrebird experts,  wild Lyrebirds apparently don't mimic
mechanical sounds unlike the birds in movies and even in nature
'documentaries'.
