Fwiw, I've seen articles calling this story into question -- the biggest red flag= s being, almost all the audio codecs used for ringtones have low pass filters waaaaay below frequencies that would supposedly be inaudible to 25-35 yr ol= d teachers(!)... and the relatively low quality of the speakers in the phones as well. Someone suggested the true duplicity here was not "secret ringtones" but a bunch of straight-faced pranksters spinning this story to wide-eyed reporters... :) best, aaron -- www.quietamerican.org 83% happy 9% disgusted 6% fearful 2% angry |
