mystery sound with link this time

Hi all, I put out a request yesterday to see if anyone could help me
identify the sound of an animal or bird recorded at a marsh in Virginia. I
sent the e-mail with two attachments but didn't realize that it wouldn't
work that way. In any case, there are two short clips linked at:

Again, I was recording just before dark and wasn't able to see through to
the edge of the water to see what was producing this sort of breathy
sound. Any help would be more than welcome. Many thanks. Stephen
