Another badly worded post on my part. Sorry. The call is an alarm call. It is given to other deer in the area to warn that an intruder is present once the caller is just out of sight of that intruder. There usually is not a response by others to this call and the result is usually not seeing another deer for the next hour. The deer you recorded sounds like a fairly small deer, for sure under 150lb.
