Just to double-check... the 722 should be able to accept any L-Series
battery, right? I've been looking at Sony NPF batteries, which are
L-Series, but they appear to be twice the cost in Europe (and New Zealand,
where I am this month) than the NP batteries you have found in the States.
Is this a different kind of battery? I don't understand the price
difference!

This is extremely useful! I was going to write Sound Devices with a
firmware request for scheduled recording, but this is almost as good.
