I live in a semi rural/suburban area at the end of a strip of ribbon development very close to an area of saltmarsh/river estuary in north east Essex UK. In the recording, the area to the left of the mic is normal garden wooded areas and road. To the right of the mic is open gardens down to the saltmarsh/estuary area, about 200 yds. away. The recording was made on Sunday at 4:30am so almost no traffic noise. It was also before the busy time for aircraft heading to London 70 miles away. At peak times I can see contrails of up to 5 aircraft. Unfortunately the main aircraft beacon for all aircraft approaching London from the east is a few miles away from here. Cheers Tom |
