Subject: | Why not Hi-MD? |
---|
A Hi-MD disc can hold 1GB, which is 800 or more 30-second tracks. A second disc costs about $7. Using SonicStage software, MP3 files can be organized in your bird sound library, and converted for use with the Hi-MD machine. Hi-MD machines are rugged and reliable in field use. Their batteries can be easily changed. And Hi-MD is a great WAV or ATRAC3 field recorder. Hi-MD recorders are priced similar to 1GB Flash MP3 players, that is, about $170. With your answers to these 7 questions, you can narrow your selection of MP3 player for field use. --oryoki |
