Saturday, May 20, 2006 10 AM - 2 PM The annual Nature Sounds Society (NSS) Tech Talk will be hosted by Dan Dugan at his laboratory. It will provide basic information about equipment and sound recording; recordists at all levels are welcome to attend. Topics include audio and signal flow, microphone selection, proper microphone usage, and how to avoid common mistakes in recording. Hands-on equipment demonstration and usage will be available. This session is excellent preparation for the Annual Field Recording workshop in June. Spaces are limited; call NSS at (510) 238-7482 for reservations. We hope to see you there! Cost is $20 for NSS members, $25 for non-members.
