Until recently I have been unable to record in some local areas near radio= broadcasting towers because of interference -- I would always get a low level of music in the background. I could never solve the problem. I checked cable wiring and upgraded cables, used different mics (Telingas and= Sennheisers) and used two different recorders (an old SONY cassette recorder and a PMD670). Recently I started recording with an SD722 and --= presto -- no interference. Same cable and mics. Of course, I don't know why the 722 is better, but I suspect that the metal case helps by shielding= the electronics. David |
