Thank you to the Group members who responded to my enquiries for anyone who had experience of using the Pearl MS8 microphone for MS Stereo recording with a parabola. I guess I'll just have to try it myself and see what happens. Knowing the level of interest in the Group in the characteristics of different microphones I though members might like to know of a very useful site for info on most mics available. This is to be found at: www.microphone-data.com This site is operated by "Rycote" the well known firm of windgag manufacturers as a service to the sound recording community. There is no charge to access the site but you do have to register (free) with an e-mail address and password. Julian Bristol, England |
