I have one more thing to add to this thread. Now that I know what the Northern Pygmy Owl sounds like, I went back to an earlier recording the group had helped me ID as a Saw-whet a year or so ago. You might also hear bat wings fluttering and stocked trout plopping. (mp3, 2.3MB, 2:33min) http://www.rockscallop.org/ear/jh-040509_saw-whet.mp3 Now I hear the difference. =85and I changed the name for the pygmy owl file to: http://www.rockscallop.org/ear/jh-060319_n-pygmy-owl.mp3 John Hartog www.rockscallop.org > > (694KB, 0:44min) > > http://s52.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3D0PDVAH79G14IK0F6QR16GZQ0WJ > > Vidas > > > > (1.4mb, 1.33min) > > > > http://www.rockscallop.org/ear/jh-060319_saw-whet.mp3 > > > > John Hartog ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
