I like to thank the moderator for approving my request to join this
great group of recordist. And a thank you for all the welcome emails.
I feel way out of place here, because i have a very limited
background
in recording. Here is a little bit about myself.

My name is John Parks and i am a 59 year old male from North Sydney,
Nova Sctia, Canada. I worked for the Recreation Department as
Superviser of Personal until my early retirement. I have been
interested in wildlife ever since i can remember. My hobbies are
fishing, hunting and just started wildlife recording in my spare
time, a few years back. So far i only have a parabolic mike(bought in
the US) and a minidisk recorder( the battery was dead) i bought on
ebay. I hope to get some ideas on better recording equipment i can
buy and i know i am at the best site for that. So far i have recorded
many types of wildlife and one mystery animal(over and over). So as
you can see i am just new at this, so please have patience with me. I
am also new at computers so if i don,t reply to a question right
away, i am looking at the keyboard to find out were the letter is.lol

                                         Thank you very much,

                                           John E Parks
