Hi all, I'm looking for an inexpensive starter mic. Any thoughts. I've found an Audio- Technica ATR55 for $45 on Amazon. A directional mic with a "close" and "distant" switch. Freq. response 70-18,000Hz. Is this usable for bird field recording? Thanks, Laurence ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ "Microphones are not ears, Loudspeakers are not birds, A listening room is not nature."
