I hesitate to mention the subject of field playback, even in the context of a compliment. But here goes: A discussion about the use of field playback arose recently on the "birdchat" listserv. There were 20 messages on Dec. 2 alone. The discussion began with people praising their iPods and exchanging notes about the best speakers to use. A comment by our fearless Moderator steered the conversation to the consideration of the ethics of field playback, and a lively discussion ensued.=20 Nicely done, Martyn! --oryoki ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
