Hi all:
I just wanted to add that, from the perspective of a newbie, I have been
grateful to "listen in" on the tech talk between experienced nature
recordists. For instance, the discussion about using a Telinga Microphone in
winter/condensation was helpful. I haven't been recording in cold weather,
but I probably will someday, and now I have a better idea of how to handle
the equipment when I do - some of the special considerations discussed here
may not have occurred to me. I have learned a great deal here, and I have
been archiving the posts because I think that some of the more general
points, often gleaned from direct comparisons of equipment models, will help
to guide my future planning of nature recording setups. That being said, I
can also understand the desire to see more discussion of the other aspects
of nature recording =)
