You might also take a look at the Oade Brother modifications to the PMD 660= , they have replaced the guts of the machine that produce less noise.=20 Check it out: http://www.oade.com/digital_recorders/hard_disc_recorders/PMD-660MODS.html There are a couple of sound clips there, but I think you need to download a= small converter.
