The primer is just what is needed well done!! I must admit I spent a while
trying to figure out how the battery disconnected from the 722 (mine came
with battery in place). I had not seen that type of battery connection
before and there is nothing in the official instruction manual Obviously one
of those "assumed knowledge things"

Trying to remember what all those LEDs mean when lit or flashing is another
problem that I recently had in the field.The orange led top left came on and
because I had left the manual at home and couldn't remember what the cryptic
"DIG" meant beside the light I found myself unable to record.
It was not until I got home that I found that I had inadvertently bumped the
switch above the XLR fitting while plugging in the mic. I had unknowingly
switched to "digital input" and because there was no digital input plugged
in, the LED was flashing away!!

I have since made up a one page crib sheet (with arrows and pics) to carry
in the field. I could post it in pdf form if anyone is interested (my yahoo
status will not let me post to the naturecordists site though for some
reason)
