I took mine to the top of the chisos mountains Paul (5000 ft) and had no
problems?
I'm baffled to why they would say such a thing!

Subject: [Nature Recordists] iPods at high altitude

Hi all,

A guy in an iPod store here (though I ordered mine in the US) told me that
iPods shouldn't be taken above 3000-3500 m, as this could ruin them. Does
anyone know anything about this?

Best regards, Paul
