My apologies to all if I get over-opinionated here.
If M-Audio is actually thinking that their customers
will turn off the phantom power before disconnecting
microphones, they're crazy! That's like walking
around with a sign on you that says "Hit me"!
As a product designer with some 35 years of
experience, I would never design a product that could
be damaged by something that could occur during normal
use. I certainly hope that this info is wrong. I'll
try it a few times this evening.
