As I became paranoid over loosing data in this storm, I went to the Panasonic Toughbook 29. Will give a more formal review later when I can interface it to my RME DSP. But with the first few hours operation this laptop is great in daylight when you want something that can take rain and severe abuse and still see the keyboard at night. The whole thing is close to being bulletproof. I am using the Toughbook 29 which is not a cheap laptop but is something that is close to being a workable brick for field recording. More once I get comfortable with it. Rich Peet ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
