Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone in this group has a recording of the Indri, a lemur=
from Madagascar. Indris have a really unique call, and I was priviledged =
enough to hear one in person in 1999 but that was before I got interested i=
n field recording--alas! Apparently these animals don't survive in captivi=
ty, so you can't see/hear them in zoos, and I'm sad to say that they're lik=
ely not going to survive much longer in the wild, either (many of Madagasca=
r endemic species are very endangered due to habitat loss, and the loss doe=
sn't seem to be slowing down much).

Let me know if you have an Indri recording--I'd love to hear it.

Cheers,
Lori
