First I've seen that the Mitsui Silver reflective layer _DVD-R's_
use  Phthalocyanine Dye.  We discussed this a while back. We couldn't
find  DVD-R blanks with this dye in response to the the Library of
Congress test:

"Samples containing phthalocyanine performed better than other dye
types. In particular, phthalocyanine combined with a gold-silver
alloy as a reflective layer was consistently more stable than all
other types of CD-R media.to new media. "  Thanks John! Rob D.
