A while ago I got a 11 page questionnaire from a big American company which
bought some dishes years ago. It was about my security against terrorism.
This was my answer:
"No, sorry.
I don't understand the questions. I don't know anything about C-TPAT/SUPPLY
CHAIN SECURITY CERTIFICATION.
I have never been asked such things before.
The questions are ridiculous considering the Telinga situation, locations
and other things.
I live alone in a house deep in the forest at the Swedish countryside. Me
and my dog. No gates, fences, cameras or security personnel.
Take an example:
Question:
3. Are windows, gates and fences secured with locking devices?
Answer:
We have windows, of course, but no gates or fences.
4. Does management or security personnel control the issuance of locks and
keys?
Which management or security?? It's only me!
5. Is there security lighting for inside and outside the facility including
entrances and
exits, cargo handling and storage areas, fence lines and parking areas?
I have a little light by the side of my pathway from the workshop to the
house...?
10. Are alarm systems and video surveillance cameras installed to monitor
the premises
and prevent unauthorized access to cargo handling and storage areas?
No, but I have a very nice dog barking....?
See?
Klas."
Today I got an answer:
"Klas,
That email was very funny! I have been laughing for weeks now.
I did check with my boss, and I do not need to get this questionnaire from
you. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Best Regards,
xxxxx yyyyy"
There is hope for the world.
Klas.
