 Well, I guess calling myself cheap isn't doing my personality real justice. 
Let's just say I am learning frugality in these middle years ;^) I was 
thinking more along the lines of a used desktop that could run PT Free, 
nowadays a pentium II or III can be picked up next to nothing. Although 
being in S. Korea makes that a little trickier. 
  Thanks for the info. and as a side note: if you or anyone else is planning 
a trip to record the rare bird species in the S. Korean DMZ feel free to 
contact me. I can get you as much information about visiting this area and 
what is and isn't allowed, as much as possible. Be happy to help pack gear 
as well.
