Re: Pelican cases, I've used them for years and they've never let me down -- but, by overstuffing, a few of my older ones have warped slightly and I wouldn't trust them underwater. However I *did* recently put the vaunted waterproofness to test recently by intentionally loading an MD into one and stuffing it under a boat in Lake Powell for an art project and it worked just fine.
